Christ came
To Earth
To give the sons of man
A second birth
I suffer from
Severe mental illness
I listen to the Lord
In stillness
My mental health
Does not define me
I know that in Christ
I am truly free
I deal with
Highs and lows
My mental anguish
Only God knows
In Christ I am
A new creation
This is cause for
Much elation
I battle sin
Every single day
My sanctification
Is well underway
I take medication
For my brain chemistry
I try to get good sleep
And eat healthy
I have the mind of Jesus
I walk by faith, not sight
Living for Him
Is always right
