A Christmas Poem

We celebrate Christ’s birth
With Christmas mirth

Baby Jesus had to lay
In a stable on a bed of hay

Put up the wreaths and the holly
May your Christmas be jolly

Kiss under the mistletoe
Let your love show

Christ was sacrificed at Calvary
His propitiation set man free

Jesus is the greatest gift we can receive
But to get it one must repent and believe

The Elect are from every tribe and race
We are saved by God’s sovereign grace

We are justified through faith alone
Predicated on the sacrifice Christ did atone

As we make merry, we should look ahead
For it is the empty tomb that Satan does dread

On Easter Sunday Christ was risen
by Christ’s power He did quicken

This Christmas may we rejoice at the incarnation
And thank God for our salvation

Share the Good News with both friend and foe
Contemplate these things as you watch it snow
