My dear
Polish American
Gramma
You showed
Your family love
Through
Your cooking
You were truly
The best cook
I ever knew
I will
Never forget
Your baked ham
Paska and pierogies
Kapusta and halushki
Macaroni salad
Fresh sausage
And galumpkis
At Christmas
And Easter
You blessed us
With such
Wonderful food
I can still
Recall Gramma’s
Voice
“Eat up!”
“Plenty left!”
She said
I cherish
These memories
We used to chat
Every day
On the phone
I think of you
Often
Your smile
Lit up
The room
You’re in
Heaven now
I look forward
To us being
Reunited

I miss our Gramma too! She made the best Christmas ham I ever had! She was so special, I miss her very much. I won’t ever forget her wonderful cooking and the amazing dinners that we had with her. The Easter feast was beyond delicious and so was her Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners. Gramma taught me a lot about cooking and I will always be proud to have such a wonderful cook in our family as our Gramma!
