Storm clouds move in
Dark and ominous
My umbrella isn’t superfluous
From my bedroom window
I watch the torrential rain
It helps to keep me sane
As the storm approached us
Lightning sizzles in the sky
Purple plasma could make a man die
The winds
Blow fiercely you see
Shaking the tree branches vigorously
The air smells fresh
My senses are heightened
I feel so alive
I am not frightened
It’s raining powerful now
Wind is blowing the rain horizontally
After ten minutes the storm is gone
I thank God for this storm totally

One response to “A Thunderstorm in Spring”
Thunderstorms are wonderful! Especially when it is hot outside! They bring such coolness and I love standing in the rain! Every storm is a gift from God!
