Grizzly

I am a mighty grizzly bear
When people are near me, they feel fear

I am known to growl
When my mood is foul

I ate honey from a beehive
It helped me to survive

I can outrun, outswim, and outclimb
Human beings, it’s so sublime

When I stand up, I’m ten feet tall
Sometimes with other grizzlies, I brawl

I feed on salmon swimming upstream
In the forest, I reign supreme

I weigh seven hundred pounds
I can easily defeat a pack of hounds

In winter, I hibernate
When I wake up in spring, I feel great

  1. Remember Grizzly Adams and his bear Ben? I think grizzly bears they are quite big and fearsome! I think salmon and honey are their two favorite foods! The skin of a grizzly bear is so thick that the bees don’t bother them much at all when they’re eating all the honey! I don’t think I’d like to live in Alaska though because grizzly bears are everywhere there! The residents of Alaska have to carry guns around to scare off the bears! I heard that in Canada, bears get into people’s garbage cans!
